Does this name indicate that we will eat “all things” at our student fellowship? Perhaps it does. The "All Things" title however, comes from Colossians 1:15-20. This is our theme passage “… for by him all things were created.… He is before all things and in Him, all things hold together .… and through Him to reconcile all things to himself …. “
We at McMaster Christian Reformed Campus Ministry understand this passage to mean that God is intimately involved in reconciling every aspect of His creation. This cosmic involvement gives us tremendous scope for our dinner conversations and those insights brought by our interesting guest speakers. All things - all topics, all areas of life are legitimate topics for discussion and exploration. The menu is full.
"All Things" takes place in the McMaster University Student Centre room 318 (Third Floor).
How do our evenings go? We start at 5:30- and end at 6:45pm. Our tradition is that we ask our host who has prepared our food to lead us with a word of prayer for the food and evening. Following the prayer, we invite our speaker to eat first because they will be asked to address us at 6:00pm. At 6:00pm we have our announcements, our speaker is introduced and they have the floor for 45 minutes. These 45 minutes includes presentation time and Q & A. We end at 6:45pm to allow some students to go to their night classes. The rest of our students are asked to stay and help clean up our fellowship room and wash dishes. We invite all current students, faculty and our hosts to come and join us
