I am in my fourth year studying Kinesiology here at McMaster University. I get asked what I plan to do after I graduate...frankly I have no idea yet. I love working with people and hope to stay within the health field. I come from a fairly large family who have shaped me to be who I am today and I love them to pieces. I love being active and enjoy hiking, running (when I am not injured), swimming, biking...you get the idea. I am hoping to travel to Ireland/Scotland/England this coming May before starting a “real” job...or more school.
I grew up in Guelph, Ontario attending John Calvin Christian School and Woodland Christian High School. Coming from small Christian schools, McMaster seemed daunting. Then two of my friends, Emily and Janine brought me to “All Things”, introduced me to Michael Fallon and I found home. That is what this ministry is to me, my community and my home away from home. I love the wilderness ministry and seeing God's signature in creation. I also love that we have recently started a volleyball inter-mural team with the group. I have lead the Women's Bible study group for the past year and look forward to leading again. We have a great bunch of ladies who come out each week and study one book of the Bible per semester (past books: Hebrews, James, Esther, 1 Corinthians).
I am excited to have a leadership role this year and serving the McMaster community.
Take care

Hi,
I am excited to be able to co-lead this 2010-2011 year of the Christian Reformed Campus Ministry with Debra Koiter and Ben Verkerk. I love the opportunities in “All Things” which enable us to grow in our faith, explore different issues in relation to our Christian faith and of course, learning about God and glorifying Him through his creation as we go backpacking, rock climbing (I admit, it’s a little scary) and retreats to Algonquin.
I have a twin named Michelle, which I think is great.J My parents live in Kitchener with my twin brothers and my older sister Christina. I love swimming and have been a lifeguard and swimming instructor for almost 5 years now. My favourite sport is basketball, but I love playing volleyball, football, ultimate Frisbee and basically every other sport.
Here at McMaster, I am in my 3rd year of the Nursing program. I am enjoying it, despite the hard work. My favourite experiences have been watching a surgery and I am looking forward to my placement next term in Pediatrics. One speaker at our Thursday night dinners last year talked about working as a nurse in Mali. I have always been interested in international opportunities and, after this talk I felt real excitement and calling to do an international placement. I have an opportunity to do that this coming summer and, despite the challenge of finding a placement, I will trust that God will show me the way.

Hey! I'm currently 20 years old, living and loving life! I'm studying Marketing in the Degroote School of Business at McMaster, in my third year of the Honours program. The biggest question I get about what I'm studying, which is sort of ridiculous, is "do you like what you're doing?" The answer is simple, I'm very rarely going to dedicate 4 years of my life to something I don't enjoy! That being said, the biggest joy of the university life is the community's that are established. I've been fortunate enough to be designated to a position of leadership at "All Things" and am truly blessed to spend my time in this community.
I like to consider myself a very active person. I longboard (a big skateboard designed to go really, really fast) to and from school every day and race down hills whenever I can. I try to push the boundaries of my body through adventure, trying new and exciting things such as rock climbing and backpacking! I've snowboarded for several years now and taken my board sports to the waters this summer for the first time, wakeboarding. I also enjoy playing organized sports such as soccer and volleyball, the latter of which the All Things team is again going to be playing in intramurals. This summer I've started playing music again, by learning to play piano; a trumpet player by trade, moving from 3 to 88 keys is a huge leap!
I, like most university students, am unsure exactly what I'll do after graduation. I've been blessed with a pretty solid job in my field (marketing) so there's a good chance I'll stick with the company I work at now for a while. I hope to spend a bit of time traveling, living out of a backpack or off of random strangers generosity as I've never really had an opportunity to see the world outside of Ontario and the EST time zone.
