Your Guide On The Side

My name is
Officially?
I'm a trauma-informed transition coach bringing together my certifications as a death doula, meditation teacher and recreational therapy provider.

Unofficially?
I'm someone who has spent a lot of time in transitions of different kinds ~ sitting with the messy parts of life, both by myself & alongside others.
MY APPROACH
Professional
But also a real person
Beyond the certifications, qualifications & lived experience, here's what really matters...

I believe that transition ~ even at it's most painful ~ holds the potential for deep clarity, connection & meaning.

I also believe in:
~ Distraction, tea breaks, naps, staring into space (or at the ceiling) & not pretending everything's 'fine' when it's very much not...
~ Making space for the full spectrum of human emotion ~ loud snotty crying, bursts of deep belly laughter (when it comes), morbid curiosity, deep confusion, brain fog & everything in-between...
~ Being a safe place to land when you need to share something you're afraid to say out loud or show up exactly as you are in the moment...
~ Finding meaning without rushing or needing to 'fix' anything, we will always walk the line between support & solutions, but I'm your guide on the side, not a sage on the stage. I'm just here to help you find your way back to you.

I know what it's like to lose your footing, question everything, feel like you're drowning internally & still have to feed the dog.

Who do I support?

I've lived through & supported people navigating...
grief, caregiving, burnout, moving, identity shifts, end-of-life,
job loss, spiritual upheaval, career reinvention, empty nesting, relationship changes, retirement, and the list goes on.
Everyone is welcome here.
Let's navigate this together...
(With calm, humour)
How?
(translation: where the heck do I even start?)
Sometimes when you are in the thick of it ~ it can feel impossible to choose where to begin.
This can be because (but not limited to)...
~ You feel analysis paralysis in the face of too many options
~ Everything just feels like too much on top of everything else
~ You have zero optimism that anything will actually help
~ All of your options feel unappealing, daunting & awful

(or maybe it's all of the above... oh yeah, you don't do things by halves)

I have an invitation here for you to try one of my tools that has helped me through many transitions.

It's called the "Least Awful" approach.

It is simply to look at all the options (let's pick a top 5, just to make it a lil more manageable ok?)
Decide which is the least awful of all of them.
Do that.
(repeat as necessary)

(This tool can be a game changer during challenging times... why?
Just so you can survive the day & remember to brush your teeth)
