What if death is the best life coach?

My name is
I help people turn their mortality into a mentor
...so they can live fully and die well

Hello & Welcome to...
I'm so glad you're here.
Let's recreate your relationship with being human
My job is to help you move from "argh" toward "ahhh" in life & death.
In other words...
Discovering how you can meet chaos, crisis or change with clarity, calm & care.
Sounds too good to be true right?
Firstly, let's be honest... we tend to avoid endings, loss & death until one day we simply can't.
Maybe we give it some hesitant side-eye until it inevitably challenges us to a staring contest.
Maybe you're here because...
You are diagnosed or facing your own death.
Someone you love is aging, ill, dying or has died.
You want to prepare for death before you have to.
You want to live more intentionally while you're here.
You are grieving & know one day someone will grieve you.
Whatever it is, there is one thing for certain...
we will all die & you've realised it.
And while it might be one of the crunchier parts of this whole being alive thing,
if we can find ways of discovering comfort in the discomfort of this inevitability,
it can potentially inspire the way we live our life & eventually how we leave it.

From chaos to clarity, calm & care

What is a Life & Death Transition Guide?
I help people navigate change in life ~ especially loss & death.
While death is the ultimate transition in life, we will inevitably
experience many others along the way... from aging to illness,
caregiving to retirement, all bringing loss in unique ways.
When it comes to this work... trust me, I've heard it all.
Some say it is morbid, while others say it's meaningful.
The truth is, my life has been shaped by deaths of all kinds.
I've discovered that by living with mortality as my guide...
I'm able to find greater ease in both living and navigating
beginnings, endings & everything in between.

What is actually possible?
I've both lived & witnessed the challenges that change brings.
I'm not promising some miracle solution that makes this part of life easy.
But I am saying it is possible to find more ease when we stop
pretending and start preparing intentionally.
Death has an incredible way of magnifying what actually matters to us personally...
Care for ourselves, our loved ones & the world.
Clarity with living what's left & how we leave it.
Calm alongside uncertainty ~ now & when the time comes.
Traditional approaches to end-of-life are focused on dying & what comes after.
My approach to death is meeting life first.
I have discovered a way to navigate through this with what I call...
The Death Compass
When we approach life as something to be inspired by our death, we can discover
one step at a time what is real, true & meaningful ~ for you.
We do this by not only preparing practically.
We can also explore, contemplate, navigate & prepare for your life as well as the end of it
mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and relationally.
And because of my unique combination of professional and personal experience, this doesn't just look like paperwork & writing down passwords (don't worry ~ we can do that too).
But it can also look like...
Having meaningful conversations while walking trails and paddling lakes.
Finding ways to record memories or recipes for yourself & your loved ones.
Maybe finally planning & going on that trip you've always dreamed of.
Valuing & making more time for all the activities you enjoy.
Spending time learning to breathe & be with what is.
Discovering ways of being present with your people.
Curating and savouring a life well lived daily.
But most importantly, it is about feeling more at ease with your life & death...
Every day along the way and when the time comes.

So, where do we begin?
No matter what path you choose, we will invite your mortality to transform...
from the monster under your bed to the mentor lying in it.
Think of my offerings as the place where education, exploration & experience meet.
Where practical planning supports personal possibility.
